I took this shot yesterday- completely by accident (well almost). Our little boy had just dropped his ice cream on the beach at Saltburn (thats his shadow cast on the sand). He was crying his eyes out. I was trying to hastily pack away my gear and semi-intentionally snapped this. I like the 'snapshot-ness' about it and all the other elements that got caught in the frame- the pier, the baby digging in the sand in the distance, the guy flying the kite...
