Staithes Panorama

Posted by Rhys (Darlington, United Kingdom) on 18 April 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

This shot is composed of 29 individual shots! Probably my largest panorama to date. My computer actually crashed whilst trying to process the stitching together of the images, so I had to convert each image into quite low quality jpegs and set a maximum size for each conversion (which is why the low quality may be noticeable if you are using a large monitor). It still took 25 mins to complete the task though!
This is Staithes, probably one of the most photographed locations in North Yorkshire. When we were there (3 days ago) it was cold, damp and miserable, I thought b/w was more apt for this one. My only gripe is the fact that I missed the bottom of the river off- I'll get that next time and break the 30 shot barrier!
