This building is about 50m away from the cinema that I featured a couple of days ago. If you thought a cinema on the beach was weird this building is a nightclub called Leo's. It's a complete mess and currently up for sale (who will buy it I have no idea). This is taken from around the back (but believe me the front is not much better). What I find amazing is that this building and the cinema might both get the tide gently lapping at their bases twice a day but most of time they get a complete bashing from the North Sea. I imagine this area behind the nightclub has plenty of stories to tell, I think I'll let your own imaginations work on that one. The Graffiti is awful- I like a lot of graffiti but only that which carries some kind of artistic skill and sense of dexterity- non of the graffiti in Redcar displayed any sort of virtuosity- but that formed part of its charm in this location. I got quite a few shots of various inane scrawls on walls and windows and may post a few next week.

Interesting picture, I expect the concrete ramp down is from a fire door to disgorge the clubbers straight into the North Sea!

@Scotfot: That would make sense and sounds like a very good plan!

This looks like it would be a very smelly area. Somehow you have managed to take something crass and ugly and tunr it into an interesting, pleasing-to-look-at. image. I wish I knew how!

@drphoto: I think the symmetry helps make it slightly more aesthetic. Just.
A fantastic picture of a depressing urban scene.
