I have declared this week 'Portrait Week'. I would like to thank Mandy at mandycharltondesigns.com for giving me the idea to do this, in fact for giving me the push to do this! Some of the images posted over the next few days were taken whilst assisting her on wedding shoots. Cheers again Mandy! This is Joel and was taken at another recent wedding with Mandy in Newcastle Cathedral. On another note, most of the images this week will be pre-posted as I seem to be all over the place (literally), thanks in advance for any comments and I will endeavour to catch up when I return.

OOh wow, I love this one, you know I have one which is identical to this!! I think you captured Joel in the best way you could, he's a deep thinker and this photograph really says it all.

i like the use of lighting and the wooden seat and concrete walls add a nice texture to this b/w. i feel as if this portrait has captured a nice inkling of character but still leaving a good deal of mystery... which is hard to do! did you have him pose for you? or were you able to capture this with out his realizing?

@dj.tigersprout: This is completely un-posed. He was sitting and listening very attentively to a speech, he didnt even notice me.
